      Monday – Friday on a weekly shift pattern; 08:00 – 16:00, 09:00 – 17:00, 10:00 – 18:00 You may be required to work Bank Holidays, Weekends or Evenings and may need to vary hours at short notice to facilitate the needs of the business.

    • To provide a file retrieval and prepping service for all outpatient and elective attendances, locating those notes by use of the Trust dedicated tracking system.  Auditing and prioritising daily workload.
    • To receive and deal with telephone/personal requests/enquiries from external and internal customers promptly and with sensitivity.
    • To file all casenotes back into the library, ensuring that the casenote tracking system is utilised.
    • To repair casenotes where required.
    • To adhere to all policies and procedures.
    • To assist in the Department’s programme of weeding and upkeep of the
    •  Medical Records Libraries.
    • To participate in the Department’s meetings and Quality Improvement ideas, complying with any changes which may result.
    • To access and input data via relevant systems and other technical equipment as required.
    • To maintain at all times the confidentiality of Medical Records and only disclose information in accordance with guidelines.
    • To cover any staff sickness or annual leave within the Department.
    • To locate, amalgamate and merge casenotes as required, analysing incorrect/omitted information on iPM/ iFiT and updating accordingly.
    • To assist in the Department’s training programme of new staff.
    • To ensure all departmental equipment is used with care, and stock check list completed in a timely manner.
    • To participate in the receipt and dispatch service of medical records utilising the equipment provided.
    • To provide any other duties as may be required and which fall within the grading of the post.
    • The postholder must have a flexible approach to working across all areas of the Trust.

    Things to consider:

    This apprenticeship is a two stage interview process. If your application is accepted, you will be asked to attend an open day at the hospital, most likely in the week commencing 2nd Jan 2018. If you are successful at the open day you will then be invited to interview.
