    • Taking and receiving telephone calls from existing and potential host families assisting them by answering questions on existing and potential bookings or registering their information
    • Select suitable host families for all new students, while ensuring that host availability, matching criteria, and student preferences are observed
    • Provide the families with the information about the student(s) arriving to their home
    • Correspond on a regular basis with hosts, students, agents, and/or schools
    • Ensure that relevant and timely notes are accurately recorded in the company database
    • Continually develop relationships with both new and existing hosts
    • Manage and match direct student enquiries, answering questions and placing students with matching host families
    • Investigate complaints/feedback from either host families, international students or their agents. Communicate with all parties, finding a suitable solution and recording the feedback and solution
    • Maintain professional, friendly, and prompt service at all times

    • Demonstrable experience and competence of MS Office applications and their practical application
    • Good level of communication skills both written and verbal
    • Excellent telephone manner, being able to tailor how your communicate to match your audience and your relationship with them
    • Attention to detail, taking pride and ownership of your work and fulfilling agreed commitments, checking work for accuracy
    • Organised, being able to manage and prioritise your workload in a busy office environment

    Personal qualities

    Enthusiastic with a willingness to learn and progress in a business/office environment is essential.

    The candidate will be required to use a computer for the majority of the working day as well as answering and making phone calls.

    This is a fantastic apprenticeship giving an apprentice a chance to work at a young, successful, and fast-growing company. There is a small pug dog in the office who sleeps for most of the day.

    In cases of emergency students or hosts may call you, therefore some out of office hours work may be required.

    We have a relaxed but professional and enthusiastic attitude. It is essential the apprentices are able to work within the company’s culture, displaying the same attitude and enthusiasm.

    Desired qualifications

    GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades A*-C.

    Future prospects

    12-month Apprenticeship with a view to full time employment on completion. Possible exposure to other (newer) areas of the business e.g. marketing through social media. Small company, therefore you will be exposed to all areas of the business and your ideas will be listened and your contribution valued.

    The apprentice will be working towards a Level 3 apprenticeship in Business Administration. Throughout the apprentice will be required to assemble evidence that demonstrates learning and development activities in their workplace.

    They will be provided with an assessor who will meet the apprentice every 6-8 weeks to provide developmental support to prepare them for their end point assessments. They will be required to undertake off the job training as well as complete a range of e learning modules and webinars to support and develop knowledge, skills and techniques within the work place.
