    This role is an exciting opportunity to start and develop your career in operational management!  Over a period of 24 months you will be working through a structured training programme which will give you an overview of all branch operations.  During this time you will be supporting all aspects of activity within a number branches in your “cluster”. You will be providing a strong customer service focus, whilst learning & developing through the management training programme.  At the end of the programme trainees will be apply for a permanent first line management position and will be expected to be mobile.  You will also be working towards a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Team Leading and ILM level 3 qualification.

    Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities for this role:

    • To provide practical and useful support & assistance in all major functions of the branch as directed by the Branch manager or other designated colleagues
    • To understand and work in the various functions of the branch for the time allotted in the Apprentice guide document over the course of the one year programme
    • To attend regular review meetings with line manager
    • Demonstrate an enthusiastic, flexible, and resilient attitude when dealing with both colleagues & customers.
    • To work as part of a team within the branch to meet required deadlines and or targets
    • Participate fully in the day to day operation of the branch, in order to ensure that our customers receive the best customer service.
    • Understand that the role is a mix of all aspects of the business from office and computer based tasks, dealing with customers face to face, and on the phone. The role includes physical work which includes lifting and moving of stock, loading of company and customer vehicles as required, together with associated roles as required.

    Qualifications required:

    All applicants need to have 5 GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent vocational qualifications) and be able to drive with access to own vehicle at all times.
