Calling all Croydon-based mechanics! Check out this local lad who could be your apprentice…
Jack Carter, the soon-to-be 17 year old, is already an expert in all things motoring. With a strong passion for cars, Jack is determined to build a career in motoring mechanics, whereby he can put his knowledge to the test and learn even more about motor-vehicles (and their bits and bobs). With an apprenticeship under his belt and a bit of cash, Jack could start his driving lessons as soon as he turns 17 in August.
If you need someone like Jack in your garage, now is your chance to grab him!
What is Jack’s current situation and how would an apprenticeship work
Jack is studying Business and IT at Harris Academy Purley Sixth Form and will finish this summer before embarking on further studies. He has already been accepted onto a Level 2 Intermediate Vehicle Technology Course at Croydon College.
On this course, Jack would attend college one day a week for theory, knowledge-based learning and then be active on the job for the rest of the time for the practical work. As an employer, it’s in your interest to give Jack as much access to the hands-on mechanical stuff, so that he can build a range of skills. With a bit of simple paperwork, monitoring and teaching, Jack could be a trained mechanic in no time.
